Littleton has been selected by the Colorado Tourism Office as a host city for a statewide anniversary drone show in 2026. This is a significant honor and a rare opportunity to showcase Littleton on a regional and statewide stage. To ensure we fully realize the potential of this moment, the City has created a brand new summer evening event, Illuminate Littleton on Friday, July 24.

To support Illuminate Littleton and maximize the impact of the 250/150 Anniversary, the City will be reallocating staff time and financial resources previously dedicated to the Littleton Twilight Criterium. This decision was made after careful consideration of several factors. As a result, the City will no longer own, manage, or produce the Littleton Twilight Criterium as it focuses its efforts on Illuminate Littleton and other coordinated tourism and community initiatives.

Illuminate Littleton will be a brand-new summer evening event on Main Street featuring illuminated and interactive art installations, roaming musical performances, and extended outdoor dining from local restaurants and bars. Main Street will transform into an open-air arts experience, inviting residents and visitors to explore, linger, and connect before the evening culminates in a spectacular, state-awarded drone show lighting up the Littleton sky.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the cycling community and to everyone who has invested their time, energy, and passion into the Audi Denver Littleton Twilight Criterium. From volunteers working behind the scenes, to families and friends who joined us on event day, to those who helped spread the word throughout the community—your belief in this event helped transform a small vision into a cherished tradition over the past twelve years.

The event may continue under new ownership in late August at a new location in Littleton, and we remain deeply grateful to everyone who has supported the Criterium throughout its twelve-year history. Please continue to check back here for updates.
